The "Marilyn on the Road" adventure has begun!

Monday, the 25 foot tall sculpture Forever Marilyn was deinstalled at the Marilyn Park in Palm Springs, with dramatic images of flying head, skirt and legs! A large crowd, including the Mayor, gathered to take their last photos and wish her bon voyage.

On Tuesday, the crane loaded the four parts of the spectacular sculpture by Seward Johnson onto two long flat bed trucks. The day drew more photo-taking as Palm Springs tourists and residents were able to sidle up close to Marilyn's perfect face. Mid-afternoon the trucks took their wide turns out of the park and headed Eastward!
